Dear fellow linguists,

We are currently seeking experienced UK-based technical Portuguese translators and proofreaders to join our team for an extensive project within the military naval industry. We are ideally looking for linguists specializing in Angolan Portuguese, though those proficient in European Portuguese are also encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidates should possess at least five years of professional experience in the industry. The scope of work involves highly technical materials, including operating manuals for ship systems and equipment. This covers weapons and associated sensors, radars, communications, and navigation equipment, as well as mechanical components such as engines, pumps, motors, and switchgear. Please note that suitable candidates will be required to pass a translation test before beginning work on this project.

The expected volume for this engagement is approximately 3 million source words by the end of this year. We ask that you keep this significant scale in mind when submitting your proposed rates.
