Technical Writer for Board Games
Your responsibilities:
- Create, update, edit, and verify technical game documentation in English, such as rulebooks, learn-to-play guides, assembly instructions, and mechanical overviews.
- Verification of press releases to ensure consistency with internal documentation and language accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with the designer, production, QA, and marketing teams to collect technical data.
- Edit and structure content to meet industry standards and internal quality requirements.
- Participate in documentation reviews and make necessary corrections.
- Contribute to development and optimization initiatives related to technical documentation.
- Manage the entire document lifecycle, including revision creation, numbering, permission management, and the initiation of review and approval workflows.
- Archiving superseded revisions helps to maintain document control processes and ensure traceability.
- Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of documentation workflows, tools, and standards.
Our requirements:
- Strong interest in the board game industry.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and translate them into precise documentation.
- Fluent English (minimum C1 level) and excellent technical writing skills are required, with a formal and precise tone. A recognized language certificate is an advantage.
- Proven experience writing technical documentation.
- Knowledge of technical documentation standards and guidelines for document creation.
- Higher education in English, journalism, marketing, engineering, or a related discipline.
Nice to have:
- Experience in writing, translating and editing board game rulebooks.
- Knowledge of board game terminology.
