Freelance Patent Translator – EN / DE / FR → Swedish

RWS is expanding its network of expert linguists and is seeking freelance patent translators to build long‑term working relationships and support ongoing patent translation projects across multiple technical sectors.

We are looking for translators with strong experience translating patent‑related content into Swedish from English, German, and/or French, to work on Intellectual Property materials for some of the world’s most innovative companies.

If you have demonstrated experience in patent translation, a strong eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality while maintaining clear communication, this opportunity may be a great fit.

Job Type: Freelance collaboration

Location: Remote (anywhere)

Requirements:

• Native‑level proficiency in Swedish

• Excellent command of English, and German and/or French

• University degree in a relevant technical, scientific, or legal field (e.g. Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Physics, or similar)

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in patent translation

• Ability to work with CAT tools (Trados Studio)
