Role overview:
As a Senior Project Manager (Translation Project Coordinator) you will manage multiple translation and localization projects simultaneously — from client input and scope validation to vendor coordination, delivery, reporting, and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple translation/localization projects end‑to‑end (from request/client feedback to completion).
- Validate scope, plan schedules, and drive delivery to completion.
- Select appropriate vendors, negotiate timelines, and coordinate global freelance & in‑house resources.
- Own stakeholder communication: status updates, escalation paths, issue resolution.
- Identify risks, manage change impacts, and ensure delivery stays on track.
- Maintain quality standards and apply delivery processes/operational norms.
- Track project metrics, deliver consistent reporting, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure accurate project financials (cost tracking, approvals, invoicing readiness).
- Create and maintain clear documentation (processes, decisions, handovers).
Requirements:
- 2+ years of project management experience in Language Services / Localization.
- Strong skills in managing deadlines, priorities, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset; ability to work independently.
- Hands‑on experience with TMS/CAT tools (highly valued: XTRF and/or memoQ).
- Fluent English (additional language is a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (linguistics/business/scientific) or equivalent experience.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Jira / Confluence (or similar tools).
- Experience in improving localization workflows and reporting standards.
