Responsibilities
Responsibilities include end-to-end project management, quality assurance, and client relationship management:
- Managing translation and transcreation projects briefed internally or directly by the client (assessing requirements, querying, collecting reference material, planning, quoting and scheduling)
- Sourcing and negotiating with in-market transcreators, translators, writers, and other suppliers, evaluating and monitoring their work, whilst ensuring meeting company margin targets.
- Completing admin tasks, including reconciliation of costs, in a timely manner.
- Preparation of files for translation or copy decks for transcreation, including creation of briefs.
- Working with different CAT tools and project management platforms.
- Ensuring the delivered copy follows internal quality procedures.
- Building up and demonstrating clear understanding of our end client’s brands.
- Maintaining glossaries and playbooks to ensure consistency across campaigns and projects.
- Managing the copy review/approval process with agency or client, building strong client and stakeholder relationship along the way.
- Supporting other teams on other language services projects.
Qualifications
- Strong oral and written English skills, knowledge of a foreign language is a plus
- Educated to degree level
- Excellent computer literacy
- Documented project management experience
- Client facing experience
- Nice to have: experience in advertising production services, preferably with a focus on language projects’ needs or in language industry
- An excellent team player working very closely with internal stakeholder to coordinate multi-media needs across production services and ensure consistency across.
- Pro-active, detail oriented, highly organised, able to work to tight deadlines and calm under pressure
- Strong business acumen and negotiating skills
- Previous use of CAT tools (preferably Trados or Phrase) or other industry-specific applications is a plus
