Packaging Prepress & Localization Specialist
Long Term Contract
Cork (3 days per week onsite required)
€17.75 per hour


Our client, a globally recognised organisation, is seeking a Packaging Localization Designer to join their team. This role sits within the packaging production function and supports ongoing packaging updates across international markets.

The Role



As a Packaging Localization Designer, you will be responsible for updating and localising packaging artwork in line with marked-up PDFs and established brand guidelines. You will manage a broad mix of projects, from straightforward updates to more complex packaging changes, often running multiple tasks at the same time.
You will report to the Packaging Production Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, compliance, regulatory and production.
This role requires someone comfortable working independently, managing shifting priorities, and communicating across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities


  • Work independently on a wide range of packaging localisation projects

  • Update and adapt packaging artwork based on mark-ups and brand standards

  • Ensure regionalisation, compliance and regulatory requirements are correctly implemented

  • Review artwork files for accuracy prior to prepress and print production

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects meet deadlines

  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight timeframes

Required Skills & Experience


  • Strong experience in packaging localisation and layout design

  • Knowledge of regional compliance, legal and regulatory requirements

  • Solid understanding of prepress production and printing processes

  • Ability to interpret marked-up PDFs and apply brand guidelines accurately

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively

  • Comfortable working both independently and within cross-functional teams

Preferred


  • Polygraphe certificate or equivalent qualification

  • 3+ years' experience in a packaging localisation or similar production role
