Étoile Translation Services is a growing Canadian translation, interpretation and localization company looking for an experienced Operations & Business Development Manager/Director to help lead and grow the business.

We are looking for someone who can combine business development with operational leadership — someone who can bring in clients, develop relationships, manage accounts, coordinate vendors and help direct day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute B2B business-development strategies
• Identify, contact and acquire new clients
• Build and manage the sales pipeline
• Develop long-term client relationships and account growth
• Prepare and negotiate quotes, pricing and proposals
• Convert proposals into signed business
• Coordinate translators, interpreters, vendors and project delivery
• Help build efficient operational and vendor-management processes
• Monitor quality, deadlines and client satisfaction
• Establish practical KPIs and workflows
• Work directly with the founder to help grow and direct Étoile

Ideal candidate:

• Experience in translation, localization or language services
• Experience in business development, sales or account management
• Experience in operations, project management or vendor management
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Independent, proactive and comfortable taking ownership
• Comfortable preparing and negotiating quotes, pricing projects, and converting proposals into signed business
• French is an asset but not required

Compensation:

This is a 100% remote, commission-based opportunity with no fixed salary initially.

The commission structure is up to 20% of qualifying revenue actually collected by Étoile from clients originated and/or managed by the candidate. The exact structure will be agreed upon based on responsibilities and experience.
