Localization Technical Partner (Contractor)

We are hiring a Localization Technical Partner who will support our client's internal service teams to enable their video game product development and marketing efforts. This role handles a broad range of technical and operational responsibilities, including digital production, asset management, and general technical support related to video game products. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical support for video game projects by preparing hardware and software in a timely manner, ensuring a secure environment, and instructing team members on gameplay as needed.
  • Identify, research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical specialists to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Document, track, and monitor issues using established systems and tools.
  • Manage and maintain video game hardware and software assets.
  • Participate in an on-site support rotation.
  • Capture and deliver game screens and gameplay footage for internal stakeholders, including Localization and Marketing teams, based on business needs.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of PCs, networking concepts, Nintendo hardware, mobile devices, and related technologies.
  • Advanced computer skills, including troubleshooting PC software, hardware, and networking issues; experience with task automation scripts or macros is a plus.
  • Comfort learning and troubleshooting new and specialized software tools.
  • Experience in IT Operations, including familiarity with common tools, methods, and best practices, is a strong plus but not required.
  • Experience with video games (development, gameplay, localization, or translation).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Japanese language proficiency is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Work Location: On-site, 5 days per week
