We are looking for a Localization Specialist to join the Translation and Localization team at Sony GBS. The Localization Specialist will be responsible for localization planning and project management for a variety of Sony's online and offline content.

Reporting to the GBS Translation and Localization Services Assistant Manager, the Localization Specialist will be expected to:

• Manage localization projects for Sony's online and offline content.
• Efficiently coordinate translation vendors and manage technical tools to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Meet defined time, cost and other project objectives
• Manage an internal customer portfolio, including customer requests and expectations.
• Work effectively and confidently within an international organization and multicultural environment.
• Collaborate efficiently with other Sony teams (Marketing, Design, Content Implementation, etc.) to achieve shared objectives.
• Manage and continuously improve internal processes and tools.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:

• A university degree from Turkey or abroad in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Marketing Management, Business Management, or a related field.
• Excellent command of the English language, particularly grammar and vocabulary in a commercial environment.
• 2–4 years of solid, hands-on experience in the localization department of a multinational company with a global presence or at a language service provider, ideally in localization or translation project management.
• Knowledge of TMS, CAT, and LQA tools and related processes.
• Strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex or ambiguous project briefs and translate them into clear, actionable tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Hands-on experience with AI- and machine translation-based workflows is an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in a second foreign language is an advantage.
