What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Support the Localization Project Manager in all phases of translation requests
• Coordinate localization activities, including translation, editing, proofreading, and quality assurance
• Serve as the primary contact for localization-related inquiries and issues
• Manage localization resources and communicate project timelines and deliverables
• Monitor project progress and implement continuous improvement initiatives

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in localization project management
• Relevant university degree, certifications, or professional experience in localization
• Fluency in Japanese; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
• Strong knowledge of localization tools (e.g., Smartling, SDL Trados) and project management systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience in payments, banking, POS systems, and merchant apps
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum environments
• Experience with translation tools (CAT tools) such as XTM, Idiom, Lilt
• Strong problem-solving skills and cultural sensitivity relevant to the target market
