Localization Project Manager (remote/fixed term contract)

Mother Tongue is a language services agency, with offices in London (UK), Los Angeles and San Francisco (USA). We specialize in the creative translation of advertising and marketing copy, and related insight and content services for global brands. We are part of OMNICOM, one of the world’s largest marketing services group. We are currently hiring localization project managers to work remotely from the Philippines.

Job description

The main focus of the role is managing language-related projects – not just translation and transcreation, but also content creation, voiceovers, subtitling, production, machine learning data curation and more. This entails quoting for work, briefing suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, and dealing with any queries along the way. You will be working on a variety of projects, from key accounts to one-off requests, and you will need to build and manage relationships both with clients and suppliers around the world. You will need to follow complex workflows and ways of working and often do so independently – you should look for opportunities to improve these processes, and contribute to the successful execution and delivery of work.

Candidate profile

At Mother Tongue, we want to be defined by our positivity, rigor, resourcefulness and passion for language. The ideal applicant will possess these qualities, as well as the following:

  • Experience of remote working, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in this setting.

Desirable

  • Experience of localization project management, including working with CAT tools/TMS systems
  • An interest in technology, and an informed perspective on the future direction of the language industry.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of the following verticals could be desirable: videogame localization, web novels, app localization.

Working arrangements

This will be a remote role. We are looking for people to cover either of the following two shift patterns: 12 am to 9 am Philippine Standard Time (Tue-Sat), and 1 pm to 10 pm Philippine Standard Time (Mon-Fri).
