Localization Project Manager - Osaka

  • Propose translation, dubbing, and LQA budgets and suggest any adjustments as necessary
  • Propose localization schedules and suggest any adjustments as necessary
  • Track the cost and progress of localization tasks and ensure that the project is within budget and on schedule
  • Handle internal procedures regarding budget approval and invoicing
  • Handle communications with outsource vendors regarding estimates and invoicing
  • Prepare files to be translated and check deliverables for completion
  • Import and export files from translation memory software
  • Collaborate with other companies' developers as necessary for crossover characters and events

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 3 years of localization project management experience (preferably in game localization)
  • Business level Japanese (JLPT level N1 or equivalent)
  • Ability to organize and multitask over multiple projects
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders both inside and outside of the localization team
  • Experience with Confluence, Microsoft Office, or similar software
  • Experience with memoQ or similar translation memory software
  • Experience with Jira or similar project management software

Nice-to-have:

  • Business level English (TOEIC 800 and above or equivalent)
  • Game localization experience as a translator/localizer
  • Familiarity with SNK games

9:30 AM - 6:00 PM (7.5 hours of actual work per day)Note: The above is an estimated working time, as this position is subject to a specialized discretionary labor system.Holidays & Leave

  • Full five-day workweek (Saturday and Sunday off)
