The Localization Producer owns the end-to-end localization workflow for marketing assets at scale, ensuring localized versions are delivered on time, on spec, and with consistent quality across languages, formats, and variants. This role bridges production, versioning, QA, and stakeholders by defining localization governance, enforcing standards, and removing blockers before they impact delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Localization Operations & Governance

  • Own the localization pipeline from intake to delivery: language planning, schedules, handoffs, QA gates, and final sign-off.
  • Build and maintain the language matrix per campaign (languages, formats, variants, priorities, due dates).
  • Define and enforce localization standards: subtitle rules, truncation constraints, typography rules, safe areas, and layout adaptation guidelines.

Planning, Tracking, and Delivery

  • Create localization production schedules aligned to the master asset timeline and release cadence.
  • Coordinate handoffs between editors/motion, versioning, and QA to prevent rework.
  • Track progress across all localized outputs and report risks early (capacity, late translations, revision churn).

Stakeholder & Feedback Management

  • Consolidate localization feedback and ensure notes are clear, complete, and actionable.
  • Manage multi-round review cycles and control scope creep by protecting the agreed workflow and decision-making structure.
  • Escalate dependencies (missing copy, legal lines, font issues, translation updates) with clear options and impact statements.

Process Improvement

  • Identify recurring errors and bottlenecks and implement fixes (templates, checklists, automation, clearer specs).
  • Maintain documentation for an audit-ready localization process (change logs, version control, delivery evidence).

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years producing localized marketing or digital content at scale (multi-language, multi-format).
  • Strong understanding of localization workflows: subtitles, on-screen text adaptation, truncation, safe areas, and version control.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, dependencies, and cross-functional handoffs under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent English (written + spoken) for daily stakeholder communication and crisp status reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-volume versioning environments (many formats/variants per master).
  • Familiarity with QA frameworks and building “definition of done” checklists for localized outputs.
  • Comfort working with distributed teams and asynchronous workflows.

Tools (nice to have)

ClickUp/Jira/Asana, Google Workspace, Frame.io (or similar review tools), spreadsheets for language matrices, basic familiarity with Adobe workflows (AE/Premiere/PS) to communicate effectively with creative teams.

Success Metrics

  • Predictable localization throughput and on-time delivery across languages.
  • Reduced rework via clear specs, batching, and QA gates.
  • Clean stakeholder communication with early risk detection and resolution.
