Title: Junior Localization Program Manager

Duration: 6 Months Contract with possible extension

Location: Remote

Pay rate: $33.24/hr on W2

About the Role

We're looking for a junior-level Localization Program Manager (LPM) to join the *** Localization team on a contract basis starting Q2 FY27. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting multiple localization programs across product and content surfaces. You'll work closely with engineers, vendors, and cross-functional partners to keep localization workflows running smoothly and at high quality.

What You'll Work On

Localization Operations

• Proactively monitor string/label drop cycles, coordinate with localization vendors, and track delivery across active repos and projects — flagging risks early and escalating as needed

• Serve as a localization point of contact for assigned product teams

• Support engineer onboarding to localization workflows and file handling best practices

• Follow through on open items end-to-end, including following up on unacknowledged PRs, pending vendor responses, and outstanding stakeholder decisions

• Support in-context testing (ICT) to verify translated strings render correctly in live product UIs

• Learn and work within existing TMS tooling, with opportunities to assist on tooling setup

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing) on localization touchpoints

Localization Quality Management

• Manage LQA projects: select sampling, ensure timely linguist reviews, and route feedback to vendors

• Project manage quality initiatives such as glossary localization and translation cleanup

• Surface process gaps and flag them for senior team review

• Help troubleshoot localization bugs and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts

You'll Thrive Here If You...

• Pick up new tools and processes quickly

• Build relationships naturally — you earn trust by being reliable and easy to work with

• Take initiative — you notice gaps, act on them, and follow through to completion

• Know when to escalate rather than waiting indefinitely for a response

• Communicate with precision — you know the difference between an FYI and an action item

• Are curious about why things break, not just how to fix them

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Localization Management, Language Translation, Translation Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience

• Familiarity with localization best practices and software/web localization workflows

• Familiarity with or exposure to vendor or cross-functional workflows

• Ability to ramp up quickly on new tools, systems, and processes

• Comfortable building working relationships with engineers, vendors, and cross-functional partners

• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple concurrent workstreams

• Detail-oriented and dependable

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a Translation Management System (TMS) and/or LLM-assisted localization tools

• Familiarity with i18n file formats and GitHub workflows (or eagerness to learn)

• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment

• Familiarity with ContentQuo or similar LQA tooling

• Exposure to process gaps identification and interest in proposing improvements

• Recent graduates of Localization or Translation programs welcome to apply
