Role Overview
We are hiring for an Italian and Japanese speaking Translator to the localisation of a wide range of content, including video games, websites, mobile apps, and product packaging, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and linguistic quality for Italian speaking markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate and proofread video game content and related media from Japanese into Italian
  • Collaborate with editors, project coordinators, and localisation managers to ensure consistent high-quality translations
  • Work on a variety of media formats and platforms, maintaining brand tone and style
  • Manage glossaries and translation memories
  • Ensure deadlines are met across multiple simultaneous projects


Candidate Requirements


  • Native-level Italian  + fluency in Japanese
  • Previous video game  translation experience - essential
  • Strong attention to detail and cultural nuance
  • Experience with CAT tools, especially MemoQ, and ability to learn new software
  • Creative, collaborative, and able to work under pressure in a team environment
  • Experience with managing existing glossaries and localisation workflows

Salary, working hours, benefits

  • £39,000 – £59,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30 – 17:30 (1-hour lunch break)
