HR Generalist - Remote LATAM

Our client is a language services provider specializing in interpretation and translation solutions. It helps organizations communicate effectively with multilingual audiences by offering on-demand and scheduled interpreting services (including over-the-phone, video, and in-person), as well as written translation. The company primarily supports sectors such as healthcare, legal, education, and public services. 



Summary

This role will serve as a key second contributor, working closely with the HR Director on day-to-day people operations while helping build and streamline the systems they are putting in place.

 

REMOTE/ FULL-TIME / LATAM / Working Hours: 8-5 pm PST.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and documentation
  • Administer and maintain HR systems, including HRIS (BambooHR and ADP), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Respond to employee questions with accuracy and care, escalating to the HR Director when appropriate
  • Help ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements
  • Partner with the HR Director on employee relations, performance management, and policy rollouts
  • Design, build, and deliver training programs and learning content for employees and managers, leveraging our LMS and AI tools
  • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR processes to drive consistency and scalability
  • Build, document, and continuously improve HR workflows and systems as the company grows
  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset across the people function, identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions
  • Build and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and process documentation
  • Create internal communications using Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and AI tools
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and special HR initiatives


Requirements

  • 2-6 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS & ATS platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of HR best practices
  • Employee relations experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal
  • Reliable home office setup, secure internet, and capacity to work independently across time zones
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Prior experience working in US-based companies
  • Proficiency with Canva, and (LMS) Learning Management Systems (a plus)
  • ChatGPT experience and active use of Claude or any other AI tools in daily workflows (a plus)
  • Hands-on experience with BambooHR and ADP (a plus)
  • Familiarity with mixed employee and independent contractor workforce models (a plus)
  • Experience helping build or streamline HR systems from the ground up (a plus)
