At The Action Sports Translator – a specialized localization and content agency working exclusively with outdoor and action sports brands – we're currently looking for 🇩🇪 freelance English to German marketing translators / AI editors with a passion for water sports (kiteboarding, wing foiling, foilboarding etc.).

If you spend your free time in the water – and have a natural feel for the language of these sports – we'd love to hear from you!

📋 Requirements

• German is your first langiage
• You are a professional translator, with proven experience and qualifications in marketing translation and AI review/editing
• You have experience with AI editing / post-editing workflows
• You have a passion for water sports, specifically for kiteboarding, wing foiling, wakesurfing/boarding, SUP
• You have great attention to detail, critical thinking and commitment to quality
• You are reliable and value clear, professional communication
• You're able to work to brief while flagging questions when something isn't clear

🎯 About the project

We're kicking off a website localization project (largely AI-assisted) for one of our water sports brand clients – a complete launch of their site in German, with ongoing localization work expected across future campaigns, product releases and content updates.

You'll be adapting English marketing copy into German across the full scope of the site, often starting from an AI draft. The initial launch is kicking off immediately, with continued collaboration expected throughout the year and beyond.
