French Translator & Services CoordinatorOur Calgary-based client is seeking a French Translator & Services Coordinator to deliver accurate, compliant, and culturally appropriate French-language communications. The role supports internal teams and French-speaking clients by ensuring high-quality translations, consistent terminology, and compliance with Quebec language regulations. Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Compliance, Training, and Business Development, this position strengthens the company’s presence in French-speaking markets and supports an exceptional client experience. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with potential for long-term employment based on performance and business needs.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

  • Translate key documents (KYC, contracts, policies, training, internal communications) with accuracy and clarity.
  • Provide professional French-language support to clients via phone, email, and other channels.
  • Ensure consistent terminology, tone, and messaging across all French materials.
  • Maintain compliance with Quebec language laws and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with Marketing, Compliance, Training, and BDMs to localize content for French-speaking audiences.
  • Review and update French materials to reflect policy, product, or regulatory changes.
  • Act as a linguistic and cultural advisor to ensure alignment with Quebec French standards.
  • Continuously improve translation processes, tools, and quality.

Your strengths include:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional translation experience, ideally in a regulated industry (financial services or insurance preferred).
  • Strong command of Quebec French, including cultural and regulatory nuances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional translation certification (e.g., ATIO or equivalent) is an asset.
