Role Description

This is a contract, remote role for a French Language Specialist. The specialist will be responsible for providing translation, interpretation, and other language-related services, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance. Daily tasks include translating various content types, providing expert communication in French, and assisting in writing concise and impactful materials. Additionally, the role may require collaboration with cross-functional teams to support multilingual initiatives.

• Lead quality assurance (QA) for French language outputs (text, conversations, instructions)
• Design and create linguistic assessments to evaluate annotators and language agents
• Train and mentor agents to ensure high-quality, scalable output
• Evaluate and refine agent generated responses for accuracy, tone, fluency, and cultural nuance
• Define and enforce language guidelines, style guides, and evaluation frameworks
• Identify linguistic edge cases and improve AI performance through structured feedback for agents

What We’re Looking For

• Native or near-native fluency in French + strong proficiency in English
• 3+ years experience in linguistics, translation, localization, or language QA

Proven experience in:

• Training or managing linguists / annotators
• Quality evaluation and content review
• Creating assessments or linguistic frameworks
• Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, semantics, and cultural nuance
• Experience working with AI/LLM evaluation, data annotation, or content QA is a strong plus
