Candidates can work from anywhere in Canada. Occasional evening and weekend work required. Some national travel may be required.Reporting to the Manager, Core Resuscitation Products, The French Language Product Coordinator supports and coordinates the end-to-end French product development process for Heart & Stroke’s resuscitation materials. While the Linguistic Services (LS) team completes all translation work, this role ensures that translated materials accurately reflect the English products by working closely with the Product Specialists and volunteer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).  Responsibilities include coordinating the French review workflow, organizing SME input, resolving content questions, and ensuring that French products are consistent, high-quality, and delivered on schedule. While overall project oversight is managed by the project specialist, this role collaborates to provide the language specific coordination and subject matter support needed to produce Heart & Stroke French language materials to bring the products to market. How you will make an impact every day Translation Workflow & Vendor Management

  • Submit finalized English source files to LS for translation.  
  • Ensure LS receives complete context, instructions, and assets.  
  • Track translation schedules and delivery timelines.  
  • Collaborate with external translation and design vendors as required.  
  • Identify risks or delays early and implement mitigation strategies.  

Subject Matter Expert (SME) & Reviewer Coordination

  • Recruit, schedule, and engage French SMEs for linguistic review.
  • Facilitate review cycles and ensure complete, timely feedback  
  • Consolidate SME feedback and support resolution of conflicting recommendations.
  • Engage a lead SME for complex language or consensus building needs.

Linguistic Quality Assurance  

  • Coordinate the internal linguistic and subject matter review of translated materials.
  • Partner with LS to review and resolve linguistic inconsistencies.
  • Ensure smooth communication loops between LS, SMEs, and product teams

Multimedia Translation & Production Support

  • Coordinate translation and review of French scripts for video and audio assets.
  • Collaborate with the brand lead and production teams to ensure multimedia components meet quality and timeline requirements, in alignment with agreed‑upon creative and production processes

Product Integration & Cross Team Support

  • Ensure French language timelines align with the broader production schedule.
  • Support French product testing throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support French product delivery across the Resuscitation team
  • Attend update meetings between Resuscitation and LS.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication  

  • Act as the central point for content‑related communication between LS, product specialists, SMEs, and project teams, ensuring all translation questions, terminology decisions, and product‑specific clarifications are addressed.
  • Maintain clear and efficient communication pathways.
  • Provide updates, surface risks, and ensure alignment across contributors.

Who we need Education

  • Fully bilingual (French & English) with strong written communication skills in both languages.
  • College diploma preferred
  • Heart & Stroke instructor designation (e.g., BLS Instructor) considered an asset

Experience

  • 2-3 years in experience in similar role
  • Experience coordinating product production processes.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Familiarity with resuscitation education products (BLS, ACLS, PALS, Heartsaver).
  • Experience working with translation, editing and linguistic review is an asset.  
  • Experience in adult education, product development, or learning program delivery an asset

Skills  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English.
  • Strong interpersonal and volunteer engagement skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management capabilities.
  • Skilled in consensus building and facilitation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new digital tools.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., Wrike) is an asset.

What we offer This role offers a hiring range of $50,000 to $60,000, aligned with our compensation framework and your professional background.
