Overview

We are currently seeking experienced freelance Korean to English Subtitle Translators to support our growing localization projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience translating Korean content into natural, audience-friendly English subtitles. Proven experience delivering subtitles for major OTT platforms is essential.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Korean and English (ILR Level 5 or equivalent).
• Three or more years of professional subtitling experience in the media localization industry.
• Demonstrated experience translating Korean to English subtitles for major OTT platforms.
• Knowledge of subtitling tools, e.g., EZTitles, Spot, WinCaps, Netflix Originator.
• Thorough knowledge of subtitling industry conventions, ability to adhere to the client specific style guides and meticulous attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of Korean language, culture, and regional nuances.
• Knowledge of cinema and the film industry.
• Degree and/or professional training in subtitling and media.
• Is a plus: Degree and/or professional training in languages, cultures, and translation.
• Tech-savvy; can research independently & can apply good judgement in ambiguous situations.
