Job Title: English to Latin American Spanish Subtitle Translator (Freelance / Long-term)

Location Preference: Latin America (able to work during Beijing evening to next morning, i.e., local late night to early morning)

Project Background:

We are a multimedia subtitle translation team specializing in TV series. Source language subtitles are in English. We provide AI-generated target language subtitles as reference. However, translators must not rely solely on AI output. The required AI modification rate is over 30% (grammar, accuracy, fluency, and local stylistic adjustments must be manually revised).

Key Responsibilities:

Translate English subtitle files into Latin American Spanish for TV series.

Use AI-generated subtitles as a reference, but manually revise them to ensure:

• Grammatical correctness
• Accurate meaning transfer
• Natural, fluent, and locally appropriate language style for Latin American Spanish audiences
• Ensure that more than 30% of the AI output is modified (this is a mandatory project requirement).

Master and apply the AIPE (AI Post-Editing) principles to meet project quality standards.

Support long-term, ongoing subtitle translation projects.

Requirements:

Native or near-native proficiency in Latin American Spanish, with excellent command of English.

Proven experience in subtitle translation (preferred).

Based in Latin America (to align with Beijing time GMT+8: availability from Beijing evening to next morning – i.e., local late night to early morning).

Strong understanding of grammar, local slang, and regional linguistic preferences in Latin American Spanish.

Ability to commit to long-term collaboration.

Detail-oriented and able to deliver fluent, error-free subtitles.

Preferred: Prior experience working with AI post-editing in subtitle projects.
