Responsibilities
- Act as the primary interface for requesting departments, providing translation, localization, globalization, and quality expertise
- Establish and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and cost estimates for translation and interpretation requests
- Manage area-generated translation & interpretation projects across all languages, ensuring on-time delivery and quality outcomes
- Coordinate closely with language offices and work groups, providing project context, instructions, and ongoing support
- Set up, track, and monitor translation & interpretation requests and quality reviews using approved tools (e.g., XTRF, Workfront, Plunet)
- Monitor progress, manage hand-offs, troubleshoot issues, and address delays with clear communication to stakeholders
- Provide regular status updates and reports to department leadership and key stakeholders
- Act under the direction of the Area Translation Manager, including support on ad hoc assignments as needed
Qualifications
- 6 years of any combination of related experience or progress toward or completion of a relevant university (post-secondary) degree or an industry-recognized certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP). Minimum of 3 years of work experience in one or more of the following fields: translation, interpretation, localization project management, or a related field
- High proficiency in English and at least one additional language, with a strong understanding of cultural differences
- Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully across language and cultural boundaries
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously using industry-standard project and translation management tools
- High level of organization and ability to effectively communicate across all levels of an organization
- Passion for delivering high levels of customer service
- Strong background in problem solving
- Advanced knowledge of standard information processing and publishing tools
